Part-time Faculty Association (P-Fac)
Some part-time faculty members at Columbia belong to the P-Fac union. Their employment is governed by our union contract.
CCC-P-fac 2013-2017 Collective Bargaining Agreement (union contract)
The P-Fac office is located at 600 S. Michigan Ave. 13th floor, 1309B.
It is open Monday through Friday, 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.

Academic Portal (OASIS)
OASIS stands for Online Administrative Student Information System and it is our system for student transactions. As a part-time faculty member you will be assigned an OASIS ID and password. When you have these, and are assigned courses by your department, you will have access to the OASIS portal and Columbia's Learning Management System (LMS), Moodle. http://moodle.colum.edu
Don't have experience with online learning management systems? Not a problem. Free workshops on all aspects of the Moodle LMS are offered to all faculty by the Center for Innovation in Teaching Excellence (CITE). http://www.colum.edu/cite
As a faculty member you will be issued an official Columbia email address. Columbia College uses email to distribute important information; faculty members are required to regularly check their incoming college assigned email address (for example email@example.com) and use it for corresponding about college related business. Checking your Columbia email is also the best way to stay current about what is happening on campus, including the many events that are open to part-time faculty. Administrative Portal (IRIS)
IRIS is the College's secure administrative portal for accessing information such as policies and procedures (e.g. the HR policy on tuition remission), pay check information (Epay/Eprofile), and other college administrative systems. This is also where you officially update your home and mailing address (Epay/Eprofile). When accessing the site you will be prompted to sign in. Your login and password are the same as those for your Columbia email account.

New Faculty Orientation
New Faculty Orientation (NFO) is an introduction to the mission, culture, programs, resources, and community of teaching and learning at Columbia College Chicago. Each semester, new instructors are invited to join "veteran" colleagues and explore the challenges and unique opportunities that exist at Columbia and within our classrooms. NFO provides opportunities for new faculty to network and ask questions and introduces them to the Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Academic Deans, and key administrators in Academic Affairs and Student Affairs.
