All Music Guide. http://www.allmusic.com. An up-to-date popular music site that gives musician biographies and discographies.

Center for Black Music Research. http://www.colum.edu/cbmr. Brief definitions of musical styles, with music examples, discographies and bibliographies.

The Spirituals Project. http://www.spiritualsproject.org. This group is performance-oriented, but the Web site contains good background information on the spirituals, a bibliography, and a discography.
