Evidence of Student Learning

Following the program-level assessment activities carried out in every department each year, Accreditation and Assessment collaborates with the department on a report that details 1) the outcomes assessed; 2) the assessment methods used; 3) the evidence of student learning; 4) department interpretations and reactions; and 5) thoughts and plans for using the evidence.

These written reports are discussed with each department and shared with all faculty. At meetings in which the evidence of student learning is shared with all department faculty, notes are taken in order to record faculty’s interpretations and facilitate conversation about the assessment results and how to best utilize them to improve student learning.
