Institutional Review Board

Research projects involving human subjects must be reviewed by the college’s Institutional Review Board (IRB) to ensure to ensure that the dignity, rights, privacy, safety, and welfare of all actual and potential research participants are protected. Faculty and staff seeking grant funding for research involving human subjects are strongly encouraged to reach out to the IRB prior to writing a proposal. For more information about IRB and human subjects research, please contact the IRB Coordinator at irb@colum.edu.

Non-government Grants

For access to online search tools for non-government grants, academic units can contact their department's assistant dean. Non-academic units can contact Chelsea Lauing at clauing@colum.edu.
